These Hotels Give Bonus Points And Free Parking On Award Stays In 2020

If you’re a member of the free-to-join World of Hyatt loyalty program, summer and early fall travel just became more rewarding. Whether you are taking road trips, enjoying a “staycation,” or flying further afield, Hyatt has perks in store.

The program is refunding a percentage of points that members redeem on awards like free stays, spa services, and other experiences used between now and Oct. 8. This is in addition to its generous offer of triple points on paid stays between now and Sept. 15.

World of Hyatt members will also have waived parking fees on award stays at hotels where parking can be charged to the room. This move certainly sweetens the pot for those looking to take road trips this summer. Here’s what World of Hyatt has in store for travelers in 2020.

Earn points back on free stays, meals, and spa

World of Hyatt’s triple points offer on paid stays is a generous one. But for those that prefer to redeem points for a stay, this bonus is a nice surprise. Members will earn 15% of the points they redeem back to their account for stays between July 8 and Oct. 8 by registering for this promotion by Sept. 1.

World of Hyatt and Hyatt Credit Cardmembers will earn an additional 10% back for a 25% refund of points on redemptions. They must register by Sept. 1 using this separate page.

This partial points refund offer is available for more than just hotel stays. Members can redeem points for dining, room upgrades, spa services, FIND experiences, and Exhale classes and spa therapies. Cash and points redemptions are also eligible for this offer. The bonus points will post to member accounts between six and eight weeks after they have been used.

The triple points offer for paid stays begins with the second qualifying stay. Since award stays count as a qualifying stay in World of Hyatt, members can take advantage of this promotion to become eligible for triple points on their next paid stay. As an added bonus for World of Hyatt elite members, they will earn 2,500 bonus points with their first eligible paid stay if they register for the offer beforehand.

World of Hyatt includes several well-known hotel brands including Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Place, Andaz, Alila, and Hyatt Centric among many others.

Free parking for World of Hyatt members

Road trips are rising in popularity this summer, and World of Hyatt is waiving parking fees (including valet service) for all members when redeeming points for an award stay. Its loyalty program has no charge to join.

Parking rates at hotels can add up quickly on multi-night stays, and this offer can save a substantial chunk of change when members choose to redeem their points for a free night. It is available to members at any hotel where parking can be charged to the room. In other words, hotels that use a public parking garage, for example, would not qualify. But, a hotel with its own parking lot will waive the charge on stays between now and Oct. 8.

Globalist members typically receive free parking on award stays as one of their many published perks, but the free parking benefit is also being extended to paid stays during the promotion period. This means that Globalists will receive free parking on all stays (whether paid or award stays) between now and Oct. 8.

Triple points at hotel dining outlets

Many Americans are opting for “staycations,” or simply staying home, this summer. Still, World of Hyatt is offering triple points on purchases from any participating Hyatt-dining outlet between now and Oct. 8.

To earn triple points, members do not need to be a guest at the hotel, and in-person, takeout or delivery meals qualify. The triple points will post automatically on eligible charges, and there is no registration required.

Travel companies are putting tremendous measures in place to assure guest safety. Hyatt launched a Global Care & Cleanliness commitment for guests as well as the addition of a Hygiene & Wellbeing Leader position at each of its hotels around the world. Some hotels have even begun employing robots and ultraviolet light machines to clean their rooms during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Hoteliers want to support their business and employees, and creative promotions like these are one way to help in that effort. The triple points offer for non-guest dining at hotel outlets is one way that people can support jobs in the hospitality industry even when not traveling.

There are even dozens of new hotels that have opened this summer in the height of the coronavirus pandemic. Of course, for those that want complete privacy, some travelers may choose to buy every room in the hotel for the ultimate isolation vacation.
